Our country has our own fashion but at the same time we follow international fashion too. When we see designer collection at Lakme Fashion Week or any other designs by Indian designer, we always find mixture of traditional as well as international designs. Currently, this Poncho Fashion is In. I am not sure but you may have followed this fashion when you were kid!

In LFW, top designers had made Poncho designs. Designer Rana Gill showcased Morocco Egypt and Mediterranean cultures inspired designs at LFW. To give ease, she teamed ponchos with blouses, kurtis and modern silhouettes.

While designer Krishna Mehta made Poncho with soft Febrics and Designer Naina Shah came with vibrant color ponchos like hot pink, turquoise, peach and white with less embroidery work. Naina Shah mentions “Different shaped Ponchos can be wear with skimpy tops, pants, skirts, minis or with any powerful dresses.”

There is one good reason to follow Ponchos is it can be wear in any season. It can be wear in summer while going to beaches and in winter it can be wear over sweater. It looks extra ordinary and can be wearing by females as well as males.

In reality, ponchos look like our own Kashimiri out fits. Its open from sides and that is the reason it became very popular in India. Colourful ponchos look good. Moreover, it looks beautiful in georgettes, crepes, brocade, wool and satins fabrics.
