Beliefs

It is not completely true that hair oil nourishes your hair, and helps them grow thicker and stronger. Not actually true as anything applied externally does not nourish your hair for beyond the scalp your hair are life less.

Hair oil gives your hair shine and lustre. Not so true as that oil applied gives you a greasy look. And the oil on your hair shines instead of your hair.

Another one of the deepest myth that oiling hair will stop your hair fall. Instead hair oil attracts dust and dirt making your hair a breeding ground for bacterias and infections. It neither helps in hair fall control nor in re-growth of hair.

The reality

Hair oil acts as the conditioner for your scalp. For this you compulsory need to keep oil on your scalp for at least 8 hours. And before applying oil you have to make sure that your scalp is clean.

A perfect hair massage gives soothes the nerves and cools the brain. It is actually the massage that helps you feel relaxed and not the hair oil. Massage increases circulation in your scalp which in turn relaxes you.

You should take an oil hair treatment. Depending on your hair, if your hairs are dry go for heavy treatment.

Since warm oil helps in absorbing moisture, you should try warm oil hair massage.

Doing it right

Massage your scalp gently with oil. Don’t go for harsh application as it would result in hair breakage or split ends.

As recommended by hair experts you should leave oil on your hair overnight and rinse it with warm water & shampoo the other morning.

After your head massage, you can also wrap a towel soaked in warm water for around 15 minutes.

So, Girls don’t get dragged away by those myths. Do it the right way and have shining and healthy hair.
