Fragrances Guide- Perfume, Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Eau de Cologne

From our grand pa’s time, perfume has played a vital role in everyone’s life. People generally use perfume to give fragrance their body, hair, mouth. Earlier, people use oils, flowers or herb extracts. Perfume can make your day pleasant and night unforgettable if you select the proper one. It is also a way to express your love! So here I am going to tell you what are the different types of perfumes and which is perfect for you.

Perfumes, Colognes and scents are usually complex combinations of natural resources, such as oils from plants and artificial products that increase the lasting power and intensify the odour.

When you go for shopping you must have seen the Perfume, Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Eau de Cologne perfumes which are very well known types and they are commonly known by their short names as perfume, EDT, EDP and EDC.

Parfum (Perfume):

It contains the maximum perfume concentrates or we can say that is the pure form of the fragrance product. This one is the long lasting perfume that can lasts up to 6-8 hours. This is the most expensive type in fragrances. A perfect perfume contain up to 30% of perfume concentrates.

Eau de Parfum(EDP):

It contains the highest amount of perfume concentrates which is 7-15%. I must say, this is the most well known and very common perfume you will find in market. This perfume last longer and cost little lesser than any extract perfume.

Eau de Toilette(EDT):

It contains 4-8% concentrates. This is perfect for the one who are light scent lovers. This doesn’t remain long as compare to the stronger ones. It was originally made to give the freshness to body. So this is best in morning which can help you to get out from the bed.

Eau de Cologne (EDC):

This is bit less available and sometime it interchanges with EDT. It contains only 2-4% concentrates. It is often referred as Eau Fraiche or just as Cologne. This doesn’t lasts long, hardly 2 hours.

From now, you will not get confused and even you won’t ask to the sales person for all about these French names. You will choose on your own…
