Shopping The Exotic Spring Trend at Kohl’s

Are you looking for ways keep up with the new Spring trends? Kohl’s has the answer! Kohl’s stores are featuring some of the hottest new trends on their website and in stores, so it is easier than ever to grab a trendy new look. I picked up a few new items at my local Kohl’s store that fit in nicely with this season’s exotic trend, which focuses on animal prints.

I tend to like to use prints as an adjunct to more classic and understated looks to add interest, so I made a point when shopping to look for items that I could pair with solid colors. I ended up putting together a rather versatile shirt, sweater and accessories combination that can pair well with jeans for a casual look or with slacks or a skirt for a professional or dressy look. Here is a look at the overall outfit, which features a giraffe print Daisy Fuentes shirt, a light weight and very comfortable Daisy Fuentes sweater, an awesome Jennifer Lopez collection snake skin print clutch, and a snake skin pattern bracelet and ring from Apt. 9.

Putting together this look was easy. Kohl’s arranges their stores by designer, while also displaying items in a way that illustrates the latest trends. I quickly found myself browsing the Daisy Fuentes items when my eye caught the Giraffe print shirt, which has some unique coloring and attractive sleeves, as you can see in the photo below. For someone like me who has a bit of thickness to hide on the arms, the sleeves are perfect. The length hides any tummy issue as well, and works well with my petite frame (I am 5’2”).I will be wearing this one a lot this spring and summer!

I also adore the handbag and jewelry that I chose to compliment this look. The Jennifer Lopez collection clutch grabbed my eye in the store so, although I really had not gone in planning to buy a bag, I could not resist it. The clutch, which is particularly good quality in my opinion, has a subtle snake skin pattern and silver chain. Complimenting the bag and outfit are an Apt. 9 bracelet and ring that were particularly affordable.  Adding accessories such as these can be a great way to add trendy interest to an outfit.

Here is one final photo of the look as a whole. I’m sure that I will be wearing these items a number of different ways this season.

Kohl’s had many other ways to get the exotic trend look, including some of the more standard animal print looks, especially from Dana Buchman and in the Jennifer Lopez collection, and there were also a number of exotic prints available in softer shades. Exotic does not have to be all brown and bIack!  I put together a pastel blouse and sweater combination from those that features a pink and white snake print ELLE shirt that you can see over on Beauty and Fashion Tech.
