Office Makeup How To

If you’re working a nine-to-five job in the office, it is extremely important to look as polished, professional and put-together as possible. Here are the steps on how to achieve a flawless look for the office using makeup:

FOUNDATION: Allure Magazine says that because fluorescent office lighting tends to lend a greenist cast on your skin, the best way to beat it is by wearing a foundation shade that’s a half shade darker than your natural skin tone. Choose a lightweight medium coverage formula to avoid your face from looking cakey.

BLUSH: To avoid looking washed out, use a peach or coral cream blush. It gives your face a nice flush of color, but it’s still subtle enough that it won’t make you look like a clown stuck in a desk job.

EYESHADOW: It is essential to make your eyes pop especially if you’ve had less sleep than the usual. You can use rose gold eyeshadow since it’s a neutral color, but its pinkish tinge mixed with a shimmery finish boosts and complements the usual office outfits. You can also opt for shades such as champagne and copper because they’re also subtle and classy.

EYELINER: Not that black eyeliner is too much, but you can also try espresso or slate eye liners as they can be flattering to your eyes without being too harsh in the office setting.

LIPSTICK: Play with your lipstick. Depending on your day’s activities, wear something that will make you look instantly polished. Red can be good if you’re not doing too much on your eyes. You can also wear pink, coral and berry shades. Stick to friendlier colors and avoid too shocking colors on your lips.
