Take a Break With Some Reading From Total Beauty
Sally Hansen makes much more than lip products, so this article from Total Beauty isn’t lip exclusive. However, because it has some of lip items on the list, and I have reviewed a number of Sally Hansen lip products, I figured I would post it up here on Girl Gloss.
See what the consumers doing reviews at Total Beauty think are the best and worst products from Sally Hansen:

Sally Hansen Volumizing Lip Shield, SPF 15
Sally Hansen is releasing more and more lip products into their already impressive arsenal. One of the great new items is their Volumizing Lip Shield with SPF 15. This moisturizing lip tint provides a nice amount of sheer color, with decent moisturizing shine. Because of the SPF, it has also quickly become one of my favorites for outdoor lip color.
Lip Shield comes in eight shades. Below are swatches of the seven that I had with their shade numbers:
Shade names from left to right: Big Kiss (20), So Smoochable (30), Pretty Pout (40), Plump it Up (50), Just Swell (60), Plenty Full (70), Va Va Voom (80).
Each shade comes in an attractive slim line tube. It wears a lot like a conditioning sheer lipstick, so the feel is quite nice. They seem to have a bit of a berry scent, but it is quite light. Overall, I love them!
Sally Hansen products can be purchased at just about any drugstore or big box retailer, along with various online sources.

Sally Hansen Natural Shine Lip Gloss
I am so loving the new Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Cosmetics line. So much, so that I keep covering it repeatedly. See below for other links. Now I have a new favorite gloss from the line.
The Sally Hansen Natural Shine Lipgloss is creamy, shiny, and not at all sticky. I got the shade Pretty Pink, or at least I think that is what the tiny print says, and I love it. The shade is true to the name. It is very pretty, and pink. There is a bit of shimmer to it as well. This is also a moisturizing gloss, and I have been content wearing it in place of balm.
You can find the new Sally Hansen Natural Beauty makeup line at various drugstores, big box retailers, some grocery stores, and at my favorite place for a beauty excursion:

Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Lipstick: Inspired by Carmindy
Sally Hansen has released an incredible new line of paraben free cosmetics, with natural ingredients. For a full blown review of the line, take a look at my feature over at Beauty and Fashion Tech. The Natural Beauty line is listed as being “inspired by” Carmindy of TLC’s show What Not to Wear and the book The Five Minute Face (read review).
I purchased a Color Comfort Lip Color
lipstick from the line and simply adore it. The texture is wonderful-very smooth and creamy. It feels great on the lips and generally leaves me left amazed that it comes from a drugstore line. It feels that luxurious and is comparable to items that are much more expensive.
The color is also just about the most perfect pink for me. So imagine my delight when I saw that the name of the shade was Perfect Pink, Rose Parfait!
I have taken to wearing it with a bit of light pink lip gloss from the M.A.C. Fafi collection over it, but it also looks quite nice worn alone.
The New Sally Hansen Natural Beauty line can be at various drugstore stores and at ULTA Beauty.

New Sally Hansen Natural Butter Lip Shimmer and Shine
It seems like I am writing an awful lot about Sally Hansen lately. I think in part it is because the company is coming out with a number lip products and I had not tried many of them before.
Two of the new items are the nearly all natural Sally Hansen Natural Lip Butter Shimmer and the Natural Butter Lip Shine. The Shimmer is a thin balm-like stick, that reminds me quite a bit of the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer products. It is basically a moisturizing balm with a bit of very sheer color and shimmer. I like the stuff quite a bit, although I would prefer it in a regular sized balm.
The lip shine is a nice moisture packed gloss. If you are looking for nice treatment type of gloss, this is a great one!
Both products have a hint of fruit flavor and scent, and are packaged using environmentally friendly materials. The company states that the ingredients are 94% all natural.

Sally Hansen Lip Inflation
I am declaring Sally Hansen Lip Inflation as a top drugstore lip plumper. Freeze 24/7 is my favorite higher end plumper.
Lip inflation is first and foremost an excellent gloss. It is all that you would expect in a quality gloss–nice and shiny, feels moisturizing, gives a nice color tint, etc. So when coupled with its good price, I would recommend it for those reasons alone.
But Sally Hansen also managed to make a lip plumper that perhaps works a bit. So often I see nothing when I try a lip plumper. I like the tingle, so I happily buy them without any expectations and when I think I see something, then I get impressed. Lip Inflation did not get me jumping for joy the way Freeze 24/7 did, but I did think I got a tiny bit of plumping, which I can’t say for almost all other lip plumpers out there, especially not drugstore brand ones.
On a side note: Sally Hansen has been impressing me a lot lately in the lip product department. Normally people think of them for nails, but they are quickly becoming lip product specialists as well and are doing a consistently good job at it. So check them out for any of your lip product needs.
