Way back, I posted about a promotion for a free Oxygen lip balm. That is Oxygen the TV network, not the oxygen that you breathe.
Anyway, long after I had forgotten about ever registering in the promotion, the lip balm finally came. It is a pretty good balm, and a bit unique. First off, the balm is petroleum free–something I like. Next, it has a good array of sunscreen for SPF 15 protection–another bonus. With soybean oil, beeswax, shea butter, Vitamin E, sunflower oil and aloe vera, it also is a darn good moisturizer and it feels great.
On the odd side, the balm has a bit of a graininess too it with little of the tangerine flavor that it is supposed to have. Basically, it is kind of like a cheaply made balm and the flavor powder in it never fully dissolved.
You know what is even odder? I rather like it! In fact the more I use it, the more it grows on me. It is sort of like having a little lip scrub in your balm that dissolves after a bit, leaving a tiny bit of flavor. I don’t think that was the intent of the balm though….
I also have absolutely no idea what company made the balm for Oxygen. It was likely some company that allows bulk ordering of cheap promotional products. I would like to know! I would consider getting a bunch of promotional Girl Gloss balms!
