Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 mixes the standard oils and waxes with sugar for a tasty balm. I happen to love this conditioner because it manages to pack in a lot of moisture without being too oily. So it also lasts well.
The only downside is its price, although it still get rave reviews at Sephora.com.

Garden Botanika Vitamin E Stick
I love Vitamin E sticks for lips. They soothe and smooth and generally protect as well as any balm. Garden Botanika makes a particularly nice one.
The Garden Botanika Vitamin E Stick protects and conditions with Vitamin E and Olive Oil. It also contains Emollient Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Meadowfoam and Sunflower Oil for extra moisturizing. There are no fragrances, mineral oil or lanolin derivatives.
I carry mine around with me for indoor use and particularly love it when I either get a bit wind chapped in summer (you can use this on your regular skin just as well as on the lips) or if I get dry in the winter.

DHC Mositure Care Lip Gloss Shimmer
DHC Moisture Care Lip Gloss Shimmer is a nice basic tube gloss with a lot of shine and bit of shimmer. It conditions with hyaluronic acid, olive oil, and marine collagen.
I found it to be a bit more moisturizing than some of the other shimmer tube glosses out there. It also is not sticky. DHC Moisture Care lasts a decent amount of time, and comes in a variety of lightly tinted shades.
DHC is a favorite skincare and makeup company for me. I adore their olive oil products, especially their cleansers. To read reviews on some of their non-lip products take a look at the DHC tag at Beauty and Fashion Tech.

Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick
Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick is just what the name says, a high shine lipstick. I love the packaging on this one and it always feels luxurious to carry around Dior items.
The lipstick is on the sheer side. If you want a lot of color, take a look at some of the other Dior lipsticks instead (all Dior lip products are quite wonderful). It has a nice moisturizing feel to it and it gives off a good glossy shine. In many ways, Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick is really more like a glossy tinted balm.
The pink shades on this one are especially nice. I tend to wear mine as one of my spring lip colors.
Look for this at Dior counters in better department stores or at Sephora (which I linked to).

Lavanila Healthy Lip Butter and Shine
Lavanila Laboratories specializes in various natural bath and body products, and their Lavanila Healthy Lip Butter is a huge new favorite of mine. This tube lip conditioner is all natural and contains a number of my favorite moisturizing ingredients. It applies just like a tube gloss and gives a bit of shine as well. Consider it a thicker (but not sticky) buttery gloss! It lasts for quite a while too and has SPF 15. Made with vanilla, it also has a nice scent and light taste. Here is what the company literature has to say about it:
The Healthy Lip Butter is packed full of powerful antioxidants, essential oils, and nourishing vitamins that help relieve and hydrate dry lips. Protect your lips from UV-damage with 100% Natural SPF 15 while four exotic butters moisturize and soften. Lavanila Healthy Lip Butters are 100% Natural and are formulated without petrochemicals, phthalates, synthetic dyes, sulfates, or chemical sunscreens. Available in Pure Vanilla, the fresh vanilla bean instantly soothes, making Lavanila’s Healthy Lip Butter the perfect winter indulgence!
LaVanila also makes a lovely Lip Shine , which is an all natural gloss. I gave the Vanilla Lavender flavor a try and found it to be light, glossy, and not at all sticky. It too has a nice light scent and taste–just enough to be pleasant without being overwhelming.
If you like tube products definitely try out Lavanila!

Pink Bow Bath Boutique Luscious Lip Balm
Often the best balms come from the small scale sellers. You can find their items on small scale websites and Etsy, or you might see them sold at farmers markets and local boutiques. Pink Bow Bath Boutique is one of these, and they have a wonderful pot balm.
Pink Bow’s Luscious Lip Balm is a particularly buttery balm. It is a bit lighter on the wax and heavier on the oils, including a couple of my favorites: hemp seed oil, olive oil, and meadowfoam seed oil. It also contains shea butter, which I happen to love as an ingredient. The upshot is that this balm has a nice heavy moisturizing feel to it, without any waxy feeling. I would describe it as a thick lip butter. The oils also add a nice gloss to it.
The balm comes in six varieties. I tried Pink Blush (pictured) and Peachy Pink. Pink Blush has a fairly heavy pink tint to it, although it doesn’t tint the lips too much–the tint is quite sheer. Pink Blush also has a fairly strong berry flavor that I adore. I found it to be one of the best berry flavored balms that I have tried. Peachy Pink was a bit lighter on the flavor.
Pink Bow packages their balms up nicely as well. So for a bit of homemade goodness, check them out!
