As a bi-racial American, it can be hard to match my skin tone with pre-mixed foundations. Make Up Forever HD has a plethora of shades designed to match most skin tones. Also because the foundation is so light, it is easy to mix two different shades to match your skin tone perfectly.

Make Up Forever HD is a liquid foundation that comes in a convenient plastic pump bottle. This is important since I am forever knocking the bottles off of the marble vanity. I also like that it is easy to dispense a small amount. I used to use another name brand foundation that you have to pour on the sponge and it is a waste because I was always pouring too much. I also don’t like mess and possible contamination that happens when you have to stick your finger in the bottle.

The foundation has a semi-matte finish that leaves skin looking soft and dewy all day. It is a full coverage foundation that conceals red spots and splotchiness. Furthermore, it does a great job of evening out skin tone.

It does not have the hideous orange undertone that some foundations targeted towards ethnic women have. The Make Up Forever HD foundation doesn’t slide off like some liquid foundations. The foundation does not become cakey or ashy after hours of wear and feels very lightweight on the skin.

Although I purchased make up sponges to use with my foundation, I find that using my fingers to blend provides the best and most natural coverage. The foundation is silicone based so a little goes a long way. For a normal day at work, I only use one small pump. On special occasions, I use two to three pumps.

When blended correctly, this foundation looks flawless in pictures. I have had airbrush make-up applied for weddings and the Make Up Forever HD foundation gives me the same professionally applied make up look in pictures.

I love the Make Up Forever brand and the HD foundation provides excellent coverage for my skin. I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Liquid Foundation Review

Below is a reader review of Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Foundation.

Recently, I ran out of foundation, and ran frantically to Target, sans make-up and in my pajamas to get some. After what seemed like thirty minutes of testing and reading labels of foundations, attempting to match my skin color and skin type, I finally decided on Maybelline Instant Age Rewind.  (You can find it here!).

Maybelline Instand Age Rewind Foundation

This liquid foundation matched my skin color near flawlessly. It was also very easy to find a color that matched, as there were many options available. Additionally, it blended easily, not drying out before it was spread and not being overly greasy. While I do not yet have wrinkles or signs of aging affecting my skin, I found that Maybelline Instant Age Rewind makes me look a few years younger by giving my skin a bit of a healthy “glow”. This foundation also reduced the severity of darkness under my eyes, and covered some of my facial imperfections such as chicken pox scars, acne scars, and minor skin discolorations. I use this foundation as part of my daily make-up routine, after my concealer.

The best way I have found to apply it has been with a cosmetic sponge, dabbing gently and spreading the coverage evenly across my face. With how wonderful this product makes my face look, I am also very excited that it helps me keep my face looking healthy; protecting it from the sun’s harmful rays. This foundation has sunscreen included in it so I don’t have to spend time putting any on. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 18! It also contains Goji Berry and caffeine which help keep my skin looking young and refreshed every day. I recommend this product to all my friends and family members. My grandmother even recently started using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind liquid foundation. While she is always beautiful in my eyes, I have never seen her look more radiant!

Cover Girl And Olay Foundation Review

Below is a reader review of Cover Girl and Olay Tone Rehab Foundation.

When it comes to foundation, I want something that is light and easy to apply. That is why I like the Cover Girl and Olay Foundation at Target. I like this foundation because there are several options in the same line of makeup. My favorite is the liquid foundation because I can control the amount that I put on my face. When I use the powder, I sometimes get too much and I have to start over.

There are many shades to choose from with the Cover Girl foundation products. If I am going to school or work, I wear the Ivory so that I look professional. When I go out for a special event, I usually wear something a little darker like the beige or natural. I can use any other makeup with the foundation without any concerns about the makeup smearing or looking too bold. Most of the other makeup that I use is by Cover Girl, but I have also used other brands, and they work well with the foundation.

The makeup does not get old and clumped like some other foundations I have used. I know that I can keep the product for months and still be able to use it. The foundation goes on very smooth, and it feels like I have nothing on at all. Some foundations that I have used end up darker on some areas of my face. This foundation blends with my skin tone so that it looks very natural. I love this product, and plan to try some of the other foundations that Cover Girl makes in the future.
