Yes To Carrots Lip Butters Balm

My friend Rachel (hi Rachel!)  recommended this truly wonderful Yes to Carrots lip balm to me. So I promptly went out to Walgreen’s, which carries the brand, only to find it not in stock. Well, karma was with me, or I sent out the right ESP signals or something, because just a day or two later, the PR person from the company contacted me about a different product. I inquired about the balms, and soon a sampling of them were on my doorstep.

Yes to Carrots Lip Butters
Amazingly, I have already used most of several of the balms, because they quickly became my go to item. The balms are not too waxy and not too thin. Basically, they strike a good middle ground. They condition well and give good protection. The balms are 95% natural and come in five versions: Carrot, Melon, Citrus, Berry, and Mint. The flavors and scents are quite light. Just enough to notice them, but not enough to overwhelm.

I really do love the Yes to Carrots balms. In many ways they remind me quite a bit of my other favorite balms from the Badger Company (read review).

Look for Yes to Carrots at Walgreens and Target stores. I also linked the flavors to Drugstore.com.

Badger Classic Lip Balms

Why is there an old picture here of me with a frog and a badger? Well, the picture is a geocaching photo taken a few years ago. The badger is because I like badgers. I also just wanted to get your attention before I rave about how great the Badger Company is!

Carleenp Carleen Pruess Coulter BadgerIt is no secret that I love products from the Badger Company. They put out a great catalog of natural products, all with cute badgers on them. In fact, I first came across the company when looking for something else that was badger related. It also is no secret that their large Badger Cocoa Butter Lip Balms are one of my all time favorite lip products. Recently I got a change to try their regular size, classic lip balms, and I adore those as well.

Badger Classic Lip Balm

The classic balms are USDA certified organic with the following base ingredients: Base Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Natural Golden Yellow Beeswax, Castor Bean Oil and extracts of Organic Aloe Vera, Rose Hip, and Organic Seabuckthorn Berry. There are seven lovely flavors, including two new ones if you had seen these before when there were only five.

The balms provide good, light moisture, and taste great. My favorites are the new pink grapefruit and the ginger lemon flavors. Also, besides just being darn good lip balms, they come in cute tubes with a badger on them!

By the way, the company itself is quite fun, with a friendly and informative website. If you like salves, be sure to also look at their various tins of skin balms (Read Beauty and Fashion Tech Review).

I have bought Badger products at my local Ulta store. They are also available at many natural foods stores and various online sources, including through the company website links above.

Badger Company Lip Balms

Badger Cocoa Butter Lip BalmBadger Cocoa Butter Lip Balms are truly wonderful all natural lip balms. They contain a couple of my favorite ingredients in balms, cocoa butter and olive oil, and are nicely flavored. The sweet orange tastes like one of those wonderful dreamsicle things, whether you think of that in terms of the drink or the ice cream treat. I also tried, and very much enjoyed, the cool mint flavor.

The balms give a really nice moisturizing feel, and the oils absorb well after awhile to leave the lips feeling soft. These are also good size! I like a big fat balm that is easy to find in my purse and won’t get used up super fast.

The badger on the front is pretty darn cute too! Although in the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that I have always liked badgers of the cute drawing, animated, or stuffed animal kind.

For those who like to stick to natural ingredients and who want some serious moisture from a lip balm, give these a try! I have found Badger products at Ulta stores. They are also available online from the Badger company (linked above) and from other online sources.
