The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream

This is a Reader/Guest post from Renee. Thanks Renee for the review!

I discovered The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream when I started law school eight years ago. Let’s just say the long days that started early with classes and didn’t end until the library closed at 11PM did nothing for the skin around my eyes. I quickly developed dark circles and puffiness. Since I didn’t want to spend the next three years of my life looking like a raccoon, I scoured the stores for an eye cream that was effective, yet gentle and safe for contact lens wearers. This product was a winner.

Body Shop Vitamin E

My immediate draw to the eye cream was the overall feel of it. The cream is thick and loaded with vitamin E. Its non-greasy formula glides on smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin. I was able to put it on in the morning and then layer my sun protection and makeup over it minutes later. Best of all, I noticed that the dark circles beneath my eyes were lighter after the first application. After about a week of continued application both in the morning and before bed, the puffiness diminished as well.

Due to the cream’s high vitamin E content, the skin around my eyes was left moisturized and supple. This was a good thing, considering how all my squinting at those books could have caused crow’s feet! I also like how the product is made with mostly botanical ingredients. My skin tends to be sensitive to products containing a large number of harsh chemicals. This eye cream doesn’t contain those. The manufacturer, The Body Shop, prides itself on carrying products which list ingredients found in nature and have no animal testing.

The only downside to this product is that it doesn’t contain any age-fighting ingredients. If you are concerned about wrinkles or broken capillaries, then you may want to look for an eye cream specifically tailored to address those areas. Otherwise, Vitamin E Eye Cream is suitable for those with sensitive skin or are looking to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles.

It’s been five years since I’ve graduated law school, but this eye cream is still a class act for me. I’m thirty years old and I use it every day. For more information on this product, check it out here:  Vitamin E Eye Cream

St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash Review

Below is a reader/guest review of St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash.

Sometimes, having skin break outs and black head just means that you are not taking care of your skin as well as you should. Getting the right body wash however, can work to transform your life in ways you never imagined. St. Ives Mineral Therapy Body Wash combines various minerals such as potassium and calcium that enhance healthy cell generation resulting to healthier and fairer skin. Unlike other body wash products that are packed with chemicals which affect your skin, this particular body wash contains natural ingredients such as chamomile, cocoa butter and oatmeal which are all good for your skin.

St Ives Mineral Body Wash

St Ives Mineral Therapy comes in a light weight container that is easy to hold and store.  The wash has a lightly gritty texture that is not too coarse on the skin but works well enough to exfoliate your skin effectively. It contains essential minerals and a great number of natural ingredients, including green tea and jojoba, making it perfect for your skin. The was works quite well to clear up break outs and acne scars.  A downside of the product is that it is not always easily available in the stores, so you might want to try ordering online.

If you are looking for a mineral therapy bath that will leave you feeling rejuvenated, fresh and replenished, St. Ives Mineral Therapy Bath is definitely one that you should try.

Clinique All About Eyes Review

The following  is a reader/guest review of Clinique All About Eyes. Thanks Candence for the review!

Clinique All About Eyes is formulated to brighten dark eye circles and reduces puffiness under the eye. Clinique recognizes the fact that the skin around is eye area is extremely fragile and vulnerable, hence fine lines normally show up first near the eyes. To fight the effects of dryness and weather, they came out with this formula to offer a defense for such eye issues and to answer immediate problems like fine lines.

Clinique All About Eyes

All About Eyes product has been ophthalmologist tested and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. The lightweight gel is absorbed quickly when applied on the eye area and it leaves a smooth and velvety finish after application. It is a instant pick me up for sleepy looking eyes or a sleepless night. Containing botanicals, antioxidants and proteins, it works to strengthen the skin and fade the dark eye circles.

Applying All about Eyes can also help to extend eye makeup wear, making eye shadow last longer throughout the day. However, do remember to wait for a few seconds before applying eye makeup. Its lightweight texture and consistency makes it suitable for both day and night application. The ingredients found in the formula can also help boost natural collagen production.

All About Eyes is also dermatologically and allergy tested. As with all Clinique products, it is fragrance free. It comes in two forms. Clinique All about Eyes is a gel form, while All about Eyes Rich is a cream based formula. The cream based formula is recommended for those with very dry skin and /or wrinkled skin. Those with oily lids can opt for the gel version. Apply the gel religiously, and you will notice a difference in your eye area. With prolonged usage, you will soon find that you will need less of your eye concealer in your makeup routine.
