Laura Geller Lip Strip Scrub

Laura Geller Lip Strip Cooling Sugar Scrub is a really nice lip scrub that tends to get high user ratings. With peppermint and spearmint oils, the formula is minty with sugar used for the scrub. I found it to be a good gentle scrub that was also tasty!

To use this, apply it to your lips and lightly rub. Wipe off the excess and apply your favorite color or balm.  Why scrub? It helps keep your lips soft and smooth, providing a better base for lipstick or gloss, and helping treatments from balms and conditioners absorb better.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 mixes the standard oils and waxes with sugar for  a tasty balm. I happen to love this conditioner because it manages to pack in a lot of moisture without being too oily. So it also lasts well.

The only downside is its price, although it still get rave reviews at

Chapstick Overnight Lip Treatment

I am a lip balm junkie and usually reapply it several times overnight. So, when I came across Chapstick Overnight Lip treatment at a drugstore, I figured I would love it. Unfortunately, I had mixed results.

I found that the cream-like balm didn’t last all that well for me and I ended up reapplying my regular balm, which I also preferred, just as often.

The ingredient list also wasn’t all that impressive to me:

Active Ingredient: Dimethicone (2%). Inactive Ingredients: Aloe Extract, Cetyl Alcohol, Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Cyclomethicone, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Isocetyl Stearate, Lactic Acid, Methylparaben, Microcrystalline Wax, Petrolatum, Propylparaben, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin E.

There are a couple of exfoliators in there, some not-so-natural moisturizers, and paraben preservatives. since I can get more moisture with a good natural balm made with a nice mix of oils, butters and wax, I will stick with that.
