Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio Review

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio is a high quality eyeshadow palette that promises to deliver gorgeous eyes on the fly.

Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio

Richly Pigmented

Smashbox is known for beautiful hues, and this product is no exception. These finely milled eyeshadows deliver high color payoff with even just a small amount of product.

Smooth Formula

This eyeshadow goes on like silk and never, ever creases, even after a long day or night. If you’ve been looking for an eyeshadow that won’t crease, your search is over!

Long Wearing

Even the best eyeshadows typically require a primer to last from morning to evening, but not so for this trio. These eyeshadows last and last when applied to bare eyelids.

Broad Range of Colors

These shadows are meant to complement and enhance eye color, and there are many different color palettes to choose from ranging from subtle to striking. Smashbox has done an excellent job with all of their palettes, but their finest ones are the lightest. Pinks and neutrals can easily look flat and lifeless, but these shadows are luminous and multifaceted.

Long Lasting

Each of these trios will stand up to months of daily use thanks to their quality and pigmentation. This isn’t a product that needs to be repurchased often.

Darkest Shadow Pulls Double Duty

The darkest shade in these trios works beautifully as a smoky eyeliner. Simply apply a generous amount to the lash line for smoking hot results.

Overall

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio is a guaranteed winner for anyone looking for fantastic eyeshadow. It blends well, resists fade and brightens up the eye area, making your eyes the center of attention.

Tip: Do not select your own eye color when choosing a trio. The idea is to add contrast in order to make the eyes sparkle and pop!

Which Color of Lipstick Do Men Prefer?

The eternal question comes up again over men’s most preferable lipstick color and it seems that most votes cast upon red. Red lipstick tends to attract men’s eyes most- or at least that is what is rumored!

red lips

A new research from the University of Kent in the U.S.A has come forward to break the common notion that men consider sexy lips the ones wearing red lipstick over other shades. That research’s results claim that men, who were asked to rate the sexual attractiveness of each woman’s photo they have been shown, have a significant preference to more pinkish shades of lipsticks rather than the usual reddish ones.

On the other hand, many men claim that red is the ideal lipstick color for a woman’s mouth; and relate it to sexuality and an ultimate femme- fatale like look.

So, by no means should any woman get rid of that red dress or their favorite red high-heels. Do you wonder why Valentine’s Day is full of reddish ideas for present for your sweet-hearts? Answer: purely because red is still considered the color of love and strong emotions!

Needless to say, though, that a lipstick alone can’t make you look sexy, but sexy lips intonated with a rich red lipstick or a pink girly that make your lips look soft and moisturized can sure make a difference in a rather neat and simple make-up.

Every brand that respects itself has a big range of red timeless lipsticks. Among the best and most beloved ones are:

  • Chanel Rouge, Allure Luminous Satin Lipcolour
  • Clinique, High Impact Lip Color SPF15
  • Revlon, Super lustrous Lipstick
  • Christian Dior, Serum de rouge Luminous Color Lip Treatment
  • Estee Lauder, Signature Hydra Lust lipstick

Holiday Party Makeup Looks

It’s that time of the year again when all of the holiday parties are starting. Before you know it, you’ll be heading over to Aunt Martha’s with a tray of sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving and cleaning up your own house for the Christmas crowd. While you’re certain to dazzle with your cooking and decorating skills, you’ll also want to be sure to look your best. Try out these makeup looks this holiday season.

Holiday Glamour

Old School Style

Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s are all about the traditions right? Bring some of that old school flavor into your makeup. Put on a red lipstick that complements your skin, and use plenty of glamorous black mascara on your eyes. With a dab of blush and a light colored eyeshadow, you’ll be looking like a woman right out of old Hollywood in no time.

Sweet & Simple

When there’s Yorkshire pudding, lasanga and seven fishes to prepare, you don’t always have tons of time to spend on your makeup. Go for something that doesn’t require a lot of effort. You can still look beautiful by sticking to the essentials: foundation, face powder, blush, eyeliner and mascara. Once these staples are on your face, do a quick swipe of eyeshadow and lip gloss to keep your pucker looking pouty for special moments under the mistletoe.

Get Seasonal

Not everyone can pull off super dramatic looks that have hints of the holiday all over them. However, if you’re one of those lucky individuals, take advantage of it. When Christmas rolls around, opt for a glittery green eyeshadow or some bold blush to look as though you just spent a day out in the cold. Don’t go overboard though; you don’t want to look like a Christmas tree!

It’s generally easier to go seasonal at Thanksgiving. Instead of opting for your light pink or light purple eyeshadow that you always wear, go for a smoky eye with some browns or even a subtle orange if you’re daring.

Drama Queen

If you’re not hosting the holidays or just happen to have some extra time on your hands with work and school closed, opt for something that’s a bit more dramatic than you’re used to. Using a dark layer of black eyeliner on the bottom inner lid, bottom lashline and top lashline can really make your eyes stand out. Be aware though that doing so might make them look slightly smaller. Add on some lengthening or voluminous mascara, along with some neutral colored eyeshadow, and you’ll have that doe eyed look that everyone falls for in practically no time at all.

It’s fun to play with makeup, but you don’t always have the time when you’re racing from work to school to the gym. Of course, the holidays can be pretty busy too. However, whether you are hosting a seven course meal at your house or you are heading out somewhere for the New Year’s Eve party of the century, holiday party makeup looks help you to stand out in the crowd.
