L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick Review

This is a guest review of L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick.

I have lots of beauty products that I enjoy using on a daily basis, but my favorite lipstick has to be L’oreal Colour Riche. I love trendy colors, and this line has plenty of them. The British Red is my current favorite for dressy evenings, and I like a nice peachy color for the day, for a fresh transition from summer to autumn.

I love Colour Riche because there is usually a wide selection of colors. From trendy to classic, whether you like matte or shimmer, bright or subdued, you’re guaranteed to find a color you like. They also offer colors that are flattering to a large variety of skin tones, and are deeply pigmented to show up well regardless of skin tone. They have a selection of cool and warm reds, pinks and peaches, so I can always find a shade that looks the best with my skin. They are easy to apply, and only need blotting for the brightest colors, so swiping on a nice neutral before leaving the house is quick and efficient. As a busy person, I’m always looking for high impact, low maintenance make up to maximize my look and save time. Convenience is key for make up on the go, and this lipstick slips easily into a purse or bag, with a snap-lock cap to avoid a mess.

Since I’m also a student, I’m usually looking to save a buck, and it’s certainly one of the most affordable lipsticks I’ve used. It works almost like a lip stain, and I’ve found it to be the longest-lasting lipstick available in its price range. Of course, that comes with the caveat that most colors in this price range don’t last quite as long as expensive lipsticks. You do get what you pay for, to some extent, so a low cost lipstick is probably not going to last for hours like an expensive lipstick. I reapply Colour Riche about once every two or three hours if I want the color to last all day. In combination with a lipgloss or primer, I’ve made it last longer than that, and this lipstick does very well when combined with other products. It blends easily into gloss and primer, so you can mix and match a little and come up with your own unique shade.
I highly recommend Colour Riche as an affordable lipstick that gets the most bang for your buck!

How To Apply Lipstick The Simple And Easy Way

Lipstick, lip-gloss, lip balm – ask a girl what she considers must-have items in her bag or makeup kit and chances are she will answer one of the three lip makeup items, and for plenty of good reasons. These simple lip makeup items can have substantial effect on a lady’s appearance and mood. These can brighten the face and give one a more polished look. Whether a woman is out on a date with a significant other, dancing the night away with girlfriends in a club, sealing the deal with a client or just doing some grocery shopping or walking the family’s pooch, the simple and fail-proof tips below on how to apply lipstick will surely be of great help.

In picking out the right lipstick, an individual must take into consideration the product’s color and finish as well as her the natural shade of her lips and her skin tone. The first step is to start with clean and bare lips. Apply some lip balm or petroleum jelly to moisturize and smoothen the lips and reduce the crevices.

Utilize a lip liner. Most people commit the mistake of using a liner with a color that matches the lipstick. This should not be the case. The liner should match the natural color of the lips. Make small dots at various points on the outline or edge of the lips. Connect the dots by drawing the liner very lightly. A tip for making lipstick last a long time is to use the liner as a base. This is a tried-and-tested technique of a lot of makeup artists.

Apply lipstick with one or two swipes of the lipstick tube. Most users find a lipstick brush to be more effective in terms of cost and more precise for application. Ensure that the lips are coated evenly and see to it that the color reaches all the way to the corner of the lips. The last step is to blot with a facial tissue to even out the texture, soak up excess color and set the stain. As a final touch, some people add a little bit of lip-gloss.

Do not forget to exfoliate the lips once or twice a week. Doing so will reveal plumper and smoother lips. Just run warm water over a soft toothbrush and brush lightly over the lips to scrub away those dry, dead and dull skin cells. A gentle washcloth will also do the trick. Exfoliating is an important part of lip care maintenance which many people neglect to do.

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick Swatches

Make Up For Ever is one of my all time favorite makeup brands. The quality of their products is always outstanding, and their aqua products get super long wear. I had not yet tried their Rouge artist Natural Lipstick, so I was happy to receive one to test.

The lipstick I got was quite sheer. But it gave off a hint of pretty color and wore very well. It stayed on and felt comfortable and moisturizing. Make Up for Ever advertises this as something that provides a pop of color for those who are color shy. Here is swatch of Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick in Iridescent Strawberry. I really d love this shade. It is very versatile.
