Eyeko Strawberry Fat Balm
I was sent a few Eyeko cosmetics to try. Eyeko is a UK company (but they ship worldwide) with cute line of products. The marketing is somewhat anime/manga in appearance and it also reminds me a bit of the Korean company Etude House.
One of the best products I received was their Strawberry fat Balm. The balm comes in a short, fat tube, so it has a large surface area. The balm itself has a light tint and is medium in weight—not overly glossy, but no all that waxy either. It also is tasty!
Mostly though, the thing is just darn cute. I’m a sucker for cute packaging, so I am really liking Eyeko’s products!

Snog Lip Balm
Here is a cute little balm. Snog Balm is a small (think short) balm designed to fit well in a pocket. The name comes from the colloquial British expression for caressing, cuddling and/or kissing.
This is a nice little balm. It is pretty much smack in the middle of the oily to waxy continuum and it does indeed fit nicely in a pocket. I find the balms to be particularly cute because of their size. The PR person noted to me that it makes a great primer for lipstick, so I tried it that way too, and it worked just fine.
Snog Balm is available in four flavors: Natural, Mint, Cherry, and Strawberry. I tried the Strawberry and Mint. Both were tasty!

Luscious Lips Manual Lip Plumper
OK, here is an interesting, if not a bit odd, product. Luscious Lips is a manual lip plumper.
You actually use this device to manually plump your lips. Here is what the company says about it:
Luscious Lips is a lip pump that increases blood flow to the mouth. The device creates a vacuum seal around the mouth in order to bring fluid into the lips. A few pumps a day will leave your lips smoother, firmer, and up to 50% larger.
Key Features:
Increases Lip size quickly and easily
Alternative to collagen injection
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
Safe and Affordable
Painless
Natural Looking ResultsTo use:
Simply tilt your head back and place the Luscious Lips device over your mouth. Hold the device firmly, and suck out all of the air to create the vacuum. Then, gently pull the outer cylinder slowly, and you will begin to feel your lips pull into the cylinder. Hold for a few seconds and then release and repeat until you reach the desired plump.
The company cautions that beginners must start with a 2 week conditioning process to allow their lips and mouth to gradually build up the tissues in the mouth.
I gave it a try and definitely recommend that slower start. It doesn’t feel like the device is doing much when in use, but you can feel it after! As for seeing plumping, from the get go I did see some that would last for a hour or more after each use. The cream that comes with the deluxe set is also kind of nice. It isn’t a balm. It is a regular cream that absorbs nicely and leave the lips quite soft.
Luscious Lips retails for $49.95. The Deluxe Kit is $59.95 and includes the moisturizing cream.

Sephora Brand Lip Primer Pen
Sephora Brand “Tricks of the Trade” Perfection Lip Primer is a unique product. Unlike other lip primers that tend to come as a balm or a cream, this one is more akin to a wax pen.
Essentially a light waxy balm in pen form, the primer provides a pretty decent line filling base for the lips. I found that lipstick application was good after using it, and I thought it made the appearance of my lip color look smoother. However, I don’t know that it made the color last all that much longer. Regardless, I liked this product quite a bit, simply for the line filling aspect that I got from it.

Urban Decay Lipstick
Urban Decay has a uniquely packaged lipstick. The tube stands on end with the hilt of a little sword sticking out of the top.
The lipstick itself has a nicely creamy texture with a glossy finish and moisturizing feel. The shade that I tried, Midnight Cowboy, was quite sheer. Urban Decay includes Vitamins A, C, and E in the lipstick.
I like this one, mostly for the interesting look of the container, but also for the nice feel of the product.
