Pre-order Nordstrom Beauty Event Items Now!

I wrote about this at Beauty and Fashion Tech too because I am such a fan of the annual Nordstrom Beauty event. Now, you can pre-order your items! From my email inbox:

On July 18th through August 3rd, shoppers nationwide will rise with the sun and rush to their nearest Nordstrom. This ritual signifies the beginning of the two week period where the limited supply of coveted Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusive items become available. So, what is the best way to guarantee a successful shopping mission? The answer is easy: PRE-ORDER!

Beginning June 23rd, Nordstrom is pre-selling your favorite exclusives both in stores and online at Nordstrom.com, allowing consumers to reserve these limited-edition offerings from their favorite brands. On July 18th the race to the cosmetic department will begin, as devoted beauty junkies can seize the opportunity to get a hold of these unique items.

This year, over 100 beauty brands are participating. Some highlights include MAC, Chanel, Juicy Couture, NARS, Kiehl’s, Laura Mercier, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Bobbi Brown and Philosophy.

The Lipstick from the highly anticipated MAC Colorforms collection has caught my eye, along with a great looking Chanel lip palette.

Q & A With Chase Aston, International Makeup Artist for The Body Shop

The body shop is running a great charitable promotion: Get Lippy, Prevent HIV. Right now, the proceeds from every limited edition Guarana Berry Lip Butter sold goes directly to the Staying Alive Foundation (http://www.staying-alive.org), funding HIV awareness and prevention for young people around the world.

Oh, and the Body Shops’ Watermelon Lippy (pictured) is one of the most heavenly pot lip butters around!

I really love Body Shop products and so I was quite happy when recently members of the Beauty Blog Network had the opportunity to ask questions of Chase Aston, International Makeup Artist for the Body Shop.

I asked Mr. Aston: What hot new lip colors should we be on the lookout for this Spring?

His answer:

Lips are awash with gloss again this season in the prettiest, pearlized shades. The Body Shop Lip Bloom is a brilliant high gloss and high pearl trend shades in a formulation and two up-to-the-minute shades (Tulip Peach - a soft pink gloss with a hint of golden peach; Soft Rose - a light, pretty and delicate pink gloss)
