Home Remedies for Cracked Heels
Honey: It is considered as a natural antibacterial element and it helps in regaining our smooth skin back if it’s used regularly. Take half a bucket of lukewarm water and add honey in to it. Dip your feet in the water for at least 20 minutes and massage them often while they are in water. Take them out and pat gently with soft cloth. Doing it regularly really helps in healing.
Paraffin wax and coconut oil: If you have got a severe problem of cracked heels, then you should try the mixture of paraffin wax and coconut oil. Get some paraffin wax and mix it with coconut oil. Heat this mixture until the wax is totally melts. Once it’s done allow it to reach to the room temperature and then apply to your feet. Wear socks once you are done with this process, this helps in fast healing and giving proper moisture to your feet.
Bananas: Bananas are great help in healing processes. Mash a ripe banana and apply to your feet and keep it for at least 20 minutes and wash with cold water. You can try these remedy every alternate days and gain the softness. You can even create a foot mask by mixing avocado and half a coconut to the mashed banana creating a thick paste of the blend. Apply it and get those crack free heels.
Different kinds of oils play a vital role during this problem too. You can use vegetables as well as virgin olive oil or almond oil too. Apply any oil to your feet and gently massage till you feel that the oil is absorbed by your skin. After doing, immediately wear socks to maintain the temperature of the feet to a warm level.
Before going to all these home remedies, you need to remove the dead skin. You can use dead skin remover or try this: Take 3 to 4 tablespoons of rice flour and make a thick paste and add few honey drops and apple cider with vinegar. Before using this scrub soak your feet in lukewarm water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Dry them and scrub your feet with this mixture in circular motion. For extreme cracked heels you can add a tablespoon of virgin olive oil or almond oil in to it.
