New Sally Hansen Natural Butter Lip Shimmer and Shine
It seems like I am writing an awful lot about Sally Hansen lately. I think in part it is because the company is coming out with a number lip products and I had not tried many of them before.
Two of the new items are the nearly all natural Sally Hansen Natural Lip Butter Shimmer and the Natural Butter Lip Shine. The Shimmer is a thin balm-like stick, that reminds me quite a bit of the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer products. It is basically a moisturizing balm with a bit of very sheer color and shimmer. I like the stuff quite a bit, although I would prefer it in a regular sized balm.
The lip shine is a nice moisture packed gloss. If you are looking for nice treatment type of gloss, this is a great one!
Both products have a hint of fruit flavor and scent, and are packaged using environmentally friendly materials. The company states that the ingredients are 94% all natural.

dat caught my eye-d color was cute, d flavor n scent sounded delicious n d tought dat it was 94% natural certainly suprised me, people said those kind of gloss are nice so i tried it out -BIG MISTAKE-it dried out my lips, d color n shine wasn’t even seen n it’s very sticky and messy plus i used it when i had a party with d “in” crowd, they just laughed n said it was alright but i didn’t think dat….SO EMBARASSING

I don’t remember finding this one to be particularly sticky. I liked the shimmer balm better than the gloss though, simply because I prefer balms for moisture.

I happen to love the natural butter lip balm. Fortunately I have naturally full lips but they are dry. This product helps keep them feeling moist not sticky. It feels natural when I have it on and it lasts for hours. My only comlaint is that there are not enough colors. I use Aura and Instinct, but I would like something more in the red or brown family for the fall and winter.

Catina: CVS definitely carries them. At mine, they are in the aisle with the nail products though instead of by the makeup, I guess because of the Sally Hansen connection. My local grocery/drug store combo (Jewel/Osco) also carries them.
