A Quick Look at Some Benefit Lip Products

Benefit makes some great lip products. For a set, I recommend the following: benetint is the ultimate in lip stain. It gives the lips a perfect flushed berry red look that appears natural on almost everyone. It also can be used a great cheek stain.

The cupid’s bow lip shaping set (pictured) is a unique pencil set for highlighting and shaping. Finally, d’finer d’liner clear lip liner is a great lip liner. I absolutely love mine!

Aveeno Lip Conditioner Balm with SPF 15

I have been using Aveeno Lip Conditioner, Essential Moisture SPF 15 for awhile now.

What I like about this balm is the SPF factor and the light weight of it. What I dislike about it is the light weight of it.Sound inconsistent? Well, here is the deal: When the air is not too dry, I tend to prefer lightweight balms. Those often don’t feel sticky and they glide on well. But the problem with them is that they generally need to be reapplied more often. So when the air is dry, I prefer the thicker balms. At this time of year, when I keep moving from buildings with dry air to ones running humidifiers, things get a bit crazy!

Anyway, this a perfectly good light weight balm with SPF 15.

Jeep Lip Balm

A friend of mine was recently runner up in a photo contest and got a Jeep Lip balm on a lanyard as one of the prizes.

I had no idea that Jeep had a lip balm! Hang one from your Wrangler rear view mirror and keep those lips soft while rolling over rough terrain!

Happy Holidays!

Peter Thomas Roth Matte Lip Balm

I haven’t tried it, so I’m not sure what to make of Peter Thomas Roth Matte Lip Balm.

It advertises that it moisturizes, which is not what one would usually equate with “matte.” However, a matte look can indeed provide moisture with the right ingredients. So as best I can tell this is a moisturizing balm with no shine.

Full size is $20, but you can get a trial /travel size for $12.

Free Range Chicken Poop Lip Balm

The product name is actually a joke of sorts. But do you really want to use a lip balm called Chicken Poop: Free Range Chicken Poop Lip Balm? Perhaps so…..

There is no actual chicken poop in this all natural product from Kansas. Instead, its short list of ingredients are as follows: Soy, Jojoba, Sweet Orange, Lavender, and Bees Wax.

It is also getting pretty good ratings. I might get it for the novelty of it. Plus I love sweet orange!
