Dermaquest Skin Therapy C – Lipoic Lip Enhancer – .33 fl oz
The best thing about the Dermaquest Lip Enhancer is not the plumping ingredients. Instead, it is the conditioning aspects. The gloss contains vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid, palmitoyl oligopeptide, all of which add up for some very nice conditioning treatment. The gloss also has a nice moisturizing feel to it, no stickiness whatsoever, and a decent scent.
The plumping part appears to be similar to all the other lip plumpers out there. An irritant such as capsasin from pepper oil is added to make the lips tingle and swell. Sometimes I think I can see a bit of plumping, but usually it is hard to tell. I like the tingling feeling of lip plumpers though and it is particularly strong with the Dermaquest product .
Overall, the Dermaquest Lip Enhancer is a good product. It would be nice to see the company also make it without the plumping action for those who don’t like the tingling that comes from lip plumpers since it is such a good conditioning product aside from any plumping that may or may not occur.
